bro i bought half life on steam today and why am i getting WON menu in it?? lol it should be steam menu right?

Years ago I managed to use SSE to get into the menu, but nothing more, then future attempts would get the game to load but then crash as soon as I get in the menu. Now it crashed after clicking the exe saying " CFileSystem_Steam::Init() failed: failed to find steam interface ". I'd accept the archive, but I'd like to know if I am doing something wrong because that way I can learn.
